Cradle of Chinese civilization

In the past weeks we've encountered many new people, we've eaten authentic Chinese food and we've enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of Shanxi, also known as the ancient museum of China. The many historical and cultural sites we visited such as the hanging monastery(悬空寺), wooden pagoda(佛宫寺释迦塔)and Yungang grottoes(云冈石窟)reflected the 5000 year-old history of Chinese civilization. At a Wushu school we experienced Chinese martial arts, in a little village we made new friends with local students and on the sacred Wutai Mountain we witnessed thousands of buddhists making their pilgrimage.
Shanxi took us on an unforgettable journey.
